The
Nishan Public school was founded in the memory
of Late S. Nishan Singh Bhinder on 21st Oct. 1990.
Hailing from a landlord family of Lohianwala,
Dist. Gurjanwala, West Punjab (Pakistan), he migrated
to Karnal during the partition in 1947. Love for
promotion of education, particularly amongst the
underprivileged was in his genes. His father S.Rattan
Singh Bhinder, an engineer and mother, a home
maker inspired many rural boys and girls to pursue
